Our Story...
Leah Lillios and Sarah Moles were born within the same year and on the same city block in a small, east Tennessee town.  As first cousins, they spent their early childhood playing together and continued to remain in constant contact throughout their school years. Upon college graduation their lives lead them along different paths. Sarah traveled extensively: trekking across the globe, climbing mountains, and working in National Parks. At the same time Leah lived abroad:  working, dancing, and volunteering with a non-profit organization. Despite the physical separation, the two remained best of friends into adulthood and were able to reconnect often, mostly during marathon telephone conversations.

It was during one of these conversations and after two years of operating her successful East Nashville yoga studio, Kali Yuga Yoga, that Leah expressed she was looking to expand her practice.  She wanted to provide yoga to her students in a new setting, away from the confines of the studio.

Sarah’s ears perked up. Based in Salt Lake City, Sarah has always had a passion for travel and the out-of-doors. It has long been a dream of hers to guide trips to amazing destinations and teach outdoor skills while doing so. Before the idea was out on the table Sarah was on board in a flash!!

Thus, RASA Yoga Adventure Retreats was born!!

It has been several years since the conception of the company and life has changed since they set their original intention. Sarah and her husband, Eric, joyously welcomed their son, David, into the world in November of 2009. Meanwhile as Leah’s yoga studio continues to grow, she also accepted invitations to join the performance tribal bellydance troupe Bodhicitta and yoga dance troupe Nataraja. With new commitments the twosome put a few planned trips on hold with intentions to team up again in the future. In the meantime Leah is keeping the adventure alive through partnerships with other instructors and locations offering retreats worldwide.

And so through our adventures we strive to provide a supportive environment for both men and women to practice yoga in a beautiful, relaxed setting.  In addition to yoga, participants have the opportunity to learn adventure skills or to simply to take part in daily adventure activities.  We practice yoga at least once each day, and explore our natural setting by hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, kayaking and more.  We also provide opportunities for learning and expanding horizons in our laid back evening programs.

We hope you’ll join us as we explore the world with passion of the spirit and joy our hearts! In the meantime we wish you peace, happiness and  look forward to seeing you at our next destination...
